The Vice-Rectorate for External Relations, in collaboration with the National Commission for UNESCO, announces the opening of applications for the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme (MAB) scholarship. The Man and the Biosphere Programme aims to support scientific research that strengthens the relationship between humans and the environment, and to encourage sustainable development and the protection of biodiversity (UNESCO).
1) Target audience:
- Doctoral students
- Young researchers
- Teachers interested in the fields of environment, biodiversity, and sustainable development
2) Scholarship amount:
Up to 5,000 US dollars to support a scientific research project
3) Application deadlines:
- Deadline for file submission: 07 May 2026 via the dedicated platform (UNESCO)
- Deadline for submitting a copy of the application file to the Vice-Deanship of the Faculty: 09 May 2026 (in order to prepare nominal lists and forward them to the supervising Ministry)

6) Important notes:
- The project must be related to biosphere reserves or environmental and sustainable development issues.
- Files are reviewed at the national level before being sent to UNESCO.
- Strict compliance with application deadlines is essential for the file to be accepted.
