University Scholarship

A) Criteria for the benefit of the University’s grant

  • You must be enrolled in a higher education division.
  • Every student receives a university scholarship for the duration of his or her studies from the year of his or her baccalaureate degree.
  • The grant is suspended in the event of a second failure, and is not extended to its beneficiaries until the next year.
  • The benefit of the grant is subject to the annual income of the parents

B) Composition of grant application file
The grant file, which must be filed within the a deadline at the level of the university residence, includes the following:

  • A Grant application form (handed by the administartion)
  • A Certified baccalaureate copy
  • A certified Copy of the Certificate of Registration for the Current Year at the University
  • A Personal certificate of civil status or birth certificate
  • A Disclosure of parents’ net annual salary. If the parents are retired, the retirement check is provided. If the parents profile does not match the latter, a permit for non-exercise of any activity approved by the Municipal People’s Assembly shall be submitted.
  • A Copy of parents’ non-tax certificate
  • A recent tax alert for self-employed and freelanced parents extracted from a recent and net tax schedule
  • A Death or divorce certificate depending on the status of parents
  • A Certificate proving the Algerian nationality of a student or his parents who are born abroad.
  • 3 envelops that holds the student’s home address
  • 2 pictures
  • A check in the name of the student is written off and submitted to the Grant Service

In the event that you meet all the criteria referred to above and complete the file, you receive a scholarship every 03 months and you receive a notice in order to benefit from it. In case of the contrary, the interests concerned feel that the decision to reject is justified.

C) The amount of the Grant

The amount of the grant is the same for all specialties, and the proportion of the benefit is linked to the income of the parents.
D) Renewal of the Grant’s file
The grant file is renewed at the commencement of each university year by filing the following documents at the level of the Grant Department.

  • A Copy of the school certificate for the current academic year certified
  • A Copy of a certified Certificate of Success for the Preceding Year
  • A Certificate of non-taxation of parents
  • A Disclosure of the annual salary of paid parents
  • A Certificate of parents’ income other than employment (pension retirement)
  • A tax alert for non-wage parents (traders or self-employed persons), certificate of non-taxation

E) Transfer
If you are registered in another university in another city, you need to transfer your file around until your administrative position is settled, so you have to:

  • File a written request to transfer the grant.
  • Present a Certified copy of the certificate of registration at the new university institution.
