Health prevention is given close attention in every university residence, provided by a team of medical, paramedical and dental staff. Residences are equipped with ambulances and medical offices. The preventive medicine service, working with the Health Directorate, ensures the ongoing enforcement of hygiene and prevention standards in the residence, the rooms and the refectories, including daily checks on incoming goods and foodstuffs, storage conditions, meal preparation and the compliance of catering staff with hygiene rules.
The preventive medicine service provides regular consultations and continuous medical follow-up for all students living in university residences, together with first aid. It also organises lectures, seminars and workshops for students, staff and service personnel.
The preventive medicine unit is located within the university's central library.
