Every Algerian student regularly enrolled in a higher-education programme benefits from the university scholarship throughout their studies, from the year they obtain the baccalaureate. Eligibility depends on the annual income of the parents. The scholarship amount is the same across all disciplines, only the payout rate varies with household income.
